Ching focuses her practice on intellectual property (IP), including trademark, patent, and copyright law. She has over fifteen years of professional experience in the IP field including assisting domestic and overseas Fortune 500 companies, medium-sized enterprises, small businesses, and start-ups.
Ching's educational background in international business and economics allows her to understand the challenges that innovating companies face today in a global economy. This unique background gives her a clear perspective to help clients with development, maintenance, and protection of their valuable creations. Beyond prosecuting patents and trademarks, she advises clients on managing their patent portfolios, and counsels trademark owners with development, registration, and defense strategies.
In the course of her career, Ching worked with companies in a variety of technical fields including telecommunications, software, augmented and virtual realities, vehicle control systems, medical devices, mechanical inventions, electrical circuitry, display devices, and image processing semiconductor devices.
Ching has been invited to lecture on many aspects of U.S. Patent and Trademark Practice by various organizations such as the Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA) and Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) at the University of Strasbourg, France. Ching also interned at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, IP Attaché Program.
